Posting a Hijack This Log

Hijack This is a general browser hijack removal tool and can also aid in the idenification and removal of spyware and virus infection. Hijack This is available from here. Please don't fix anything, post your log to a forum and wait for an expert to advise you.



To post a Hijack This log, follow these instructions:

1. Download hijackthis.exe from the link mentioned above or click here.
2. Run hijackthis.exe and when the program has started, click the Scan button. Give the program a few minutes to analyse your system
3. Click the Save Log button and save the logfile to convenient location. The log file should then automatically open in a Notepad window.
4. In the Notepad windows, click the Edit menu and click Select All. Then click the Edit menu again and click Copy.
5. Go back to your chosen forum and start a new thread or reply to a thread you have already started. Click in the reply box and press your browsers Edit menu and then Paste.
6. You have just posted a log to a forum, now await the advice of an expert who will help you to fix your problem.
